OSCE trains psychologists from Women Resource Centres and local authorities in Tajikistan in providing psychological support to survivors of domestic violence

A four-day training course for psychologists from the OSCE-supported Women’s Resource Centres (WRCs) and local authorities was organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe from 11 to 14 August in Dushanbe. The event brought together 23 psychologists, of which 22 were female participants from the Sughd, Khatlon, Rasht Valley regions, and Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan.

OSCE supports regional explosive ordnance disposal course for specialists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

Eighteen specialists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan completed a three-week regional Explosive Ordnance Disposal course (EOD level 1) at the Regional Explosive Hazards Training Centre (REHTC) of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Defence in Chimteppa, on 29 July 2022.
OSCE trains Special Unit officers of Tajikistan's Border Troops on sustaining field operation

Twenty-five Special Unit officers of Tajikistan’s Border Troops started the course on Sustaining Field Operational Capacity on 12 July in the Regional Training Center of Tajikistan's Border Troops in Shahrinav district. The training course is conducted within the framework of the Patrol Field Capacity Building project through the promotion of Regional Cooperation, financed by the Republic of France and implemented by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.
The OSCE Border Management Staff College (BMSC) concludes its eighth All-Women Staff Course in Dushanbe

On July 1, 2022, the OSCE Border Management Staff College (BMSC) concluded its 32nd Staff Course for Women Leaders in a blended format. Twenty-six mid to senior-ranking security and management officials from border, customs, migration, internal affairs, maritime security, and drug control agencies attended. They represented twelve OSCE Participating States and Partners for Cooperation, namely Algeria, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkiye and Uzbekistan.
Roundtable discussion on Best Practices in Gender Mainstreaming in Border Security and Management and Governmental Section at the OSCE Border Management Staff College

On 24 June 2022, the OSCE’s Border Management Staff College (BMSC) held a roundtable discussion to address the “Best Practices in Gender Mainstreaming in Border Security and Management and Governmental Section". The panelists exchanged ideas and explored best practices taken by the OSCE States to promote a gender approach, in support of equal treatment of women, men and persons with non-binary gender identities as the foundation of the fundamental human rights.
