OSCE Mission to Moldova supports discussion on civil society assistance to the public
The OSCE Mission to Moldova held the fourth in a series of Civil Society Club meetings in Tiraspol on 19 October 2016. The focus of the discussion was co-operation among civil society partners on ways to better service the community. The event brought together 13 civil society representatives providing social assistance to women, youth and the underprivileged.
Participants exchanged past experiences and best practices on how to improve their ability to co-ordinate on achieving a common objective of enhanced services to the community. In particular, they examined relevant examples applied in other contexts on effective collaboration. A local expert shared lessons learned and helped build the capacity of those in attendance to effectively collaborate. Through co-operation and joint efforts non-governmental organizations can better achieve their results to benefit the society.
“Today I had the chance to meet new organizations and get information on their activities. The more often we meet, the more we will be informed about each other’s activities, which I believe will ultimately lead to co-operation,” said Ludmila Borodina, Executive Director of Rehabilitation Center OSORT, Tiraspol.
Civil Society Club meetings are part of a year-long project implemented by the OSCE Mission to Moldova and the Apriori Legal Information Centre.
