OSCE Mission in Kosovo helps improve quality of students’ services
In an effort to improve access to students’ services for non-Albanian communities, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo supported an internship, from 2 to 13 May, at Dublin City University, Ireland, for the Co-ordinator of the Student and Youth Support Centre of the University in Mitrovica/Mitrovicë - Gračanica/Graçanicë Campus.
The visit was an opportunity to gain an insight into the student services offered at Dublin City University. In addition, it was an opportunity to get assistance in the development of an action plan, and other documents, for the preparation and implementation of the Centre’s activities.
“I found this internship extremely useful as I had the opportunity to learn how universities with longer traditions and more experience operate their student services, including running sports clubs and societies, addressing day-to-day problems and creating strategies for their work,” said Velimir Radičević, Co-ordinator of the University in Mitrovica/Mitrovicë Student and Youth Support Centre. “I also developed a plan for the Centre’s activities together with my Irish counterparts, and hope to maintain contact with them in the future.”
The OSCE Mission helps the University in Mitrovica/Mitrovicë, at its Campus in Gračanica/Graçanicë, to provide a range of quality student support services, as part of the Mission’s commitment to assist public universities in Kosovo to meet the standards set out in the Bologna process.
