Media Centre Opens for Kosovo's Election

PRISTINA, 8 November 2001 - On Friday, 9 November, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo is opening its media centre in Pristina to assist journalists working in Kosovo during the election on 17 November.
The Head of the OSCE Mission, Daan Everts, and the Mission's Director of Elections Operations, Peter Erben, will officially open the media centre on 9 November at 17:30 on the main floor of the OSCE Election Building, off Beograd Street, in Pristina. All media are invited to a cocktail at the occasion of the launching of the media centre.
The media centre will provide workspace for journalists covering the 17 November general elections. The centre will also be the place where journalists should go to find out more about the election and what the OSCE is doing to make 17 November a successful election day.
The media centre also houses a press conference room, where daily media briefings will be held, starting on Saturday, 10 November, at noon.
