Media Briefing / Elections preparations in Kosovo

PRISTINA, 21 August 2000 - The regular weekly background briefing for the media will consist in the presentation of an update on the progress of preparations for the municipal elections to be held on 28 October 2000. Mr. Jeff Fischer, Head of the Elections Department, will also present a report on the Confirmation, Additions and Challenges period, while Simon Haselock, Head of the Public Information Unit within the Elections Department, will introduce the public information campaign to be deployed in the next weeks.
